Surveillance Video Released in Connection to December Shooting Incident in Houston

Houston police have made public a surveillance video featuring a suspect and a vehicle wanted in connection to a shooting incident that occurred on December 10, 2023, at 801 Country Place Drive around 4:30 p.m.

The suspect is described as a possible Hispanic male, seen wearing a gray hoodie. The authorities are seeking information regarding an older model black Jeep SUV, potentially a Compass, with a noticeable dent on the driver’s side door.

The victim, a 20-year-old male, was shot and subsequently transported to a hospital in stable condition.

Police officers responded to a shooting call outside the apartment complex at the specified address, where they discovered the victim inside a vehicle that had collided with a tree across from the complex. The victim reported hearing gunshots while leaving the complex in his vehicle and realized he had been shot. In an attempt to drive away, he struck a tree. Paramedics were called and promptly transported the victim to a hospital.

Witnesses at the scene reported hearing gunshots and observed a male suspect exiting the back passenger side door of a Jeep Compass, firing shots at the victim’s vehicle. The driver of the Jeep, another Hispanic male wearing a black hoodie, was described as the second suspect. The suspects fled the scene in the Jeep, heading northbound on Tully Street.

Authorities are urging anyone with information on the suspect(s) or the wanted vehicle to contact the HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division at 713-308-8800. Anonymous tips can be provided to Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
