Shooting Victim Contacted Family But Later Died, Investigation Ongoing

Harris County Sheriff’s Office units responded to a distress call in the 10400 block of Veterans Memorial, situated between TC Jester and Fallbrook.

Reports indicate that an adult male, later identified as Christhian Zelaya, sustained gunshot wounds at an undisclosed location prior to driving to a nearby gas station seeking assistance. Zelaya succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a hospital.

Zelaya had managed to contact his family following the shooting, prompting them to alert emergency services. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered Zelaya seated in the driver’s seat of a black vehicle. The precise site of the shooting remains unknown at this juncture.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez has confirmed that the investigation into this incident remains ongoing.
