HOUSTON, Texas — A narcotics investigation prompted by citizen complaints led to two coordinated search warrants and the arrest of three men, with deputies seizing large amounts of drugs, cash and firearms, according to Constable Jerry Garcia’s Office.

The Special Operations Unit executed the warrants April 28 at a residence in the 8100 block of Winthrop Lane in the Greater Hobby Area and a warehouse in the 6500 block of Winfree Drivein Golfcrest/Bellfort/Reveille area. The warrants had been obtained April 26 following an investigation into suspected drug activity. Deputies were assisted by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force, the Drug Enforcement Administration Galveston Regional Office and Harris County Sheriff’s Office K-9 units.

At the Winthrop Lane residence, deputies located a large amount of U.S. currency, firearms and other items believed to be connected to narcotics activity. Authorities said one individual fled through a back door but was quickly apprehended a block away. Investigators seized four firearms, including one reported stolen, jewelry, two luxury vehicles and approximately $700,000 believed to be proceeds from drug sales.

At the warehouse location, deputies arrested two individuals without incident. Officials said approximately 150 pounds of marijuana, packaging materials, documents and multiple firearms with unlicensed attachments, including suppressors and launchers, were recovered. About $2,500 in cash was also seized at the site.
