Retail Theft Operation in South Montgomery County Leads to Three Arrests

On Friday afternoon, July 18, 2025, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office carried out a proactive retail theft operation in South Montgomery County targeting organized retail crime. The operation was led by the Crime Reduction Unit in partnership with the Sheriff’s Office Gang Unit and Organized Crime Unit.

The enforcement initiative resulted in three arrests and the recovery of approximately $1,350 worth of stolen merchandise.

Arrested individuals include:

  • Maria Silva, 68, of Harris County, was arrested for Misdemeanor Theft. Investigators determined Silva had also stolen from the same store earlier that day before the operation began.
  • Faraz Hussain, 40, of Harris County, was arrested on an active warrant for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI).
  • Allice Goodwin, 38, of Harris County, was arrested for Felony Theft. Deputies recovered numerous stolen clothing items concealed around her waist and inside her bra. Goodwin has a notable criminal history, including eight prior theft convictions, six of which are felonies.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office stated that it remains committed to protecting the community and local businesses through ongoing enforcement actions.
