Pedestrian Fatally Struck in W Mount Houston Road Incident
On Saturday, January 13, 2024, at approximately 9:48 pm, an incident occurred on W Mount Houston Road.
Salvador Carranza Ventura, driving a black GMC Sierra, struck a male pedestrian, Joaquin Martinez, who was crossing the eastbound lanes from north to south in the 2500 block. The collision took place in the number 1 lane, resulting in the male pedestrian being found with no signs of life at the scene.
Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division is currently investigating the incident. Mr. Ventura, the driver of the vehicle, was not found to be intoxicated and was released from the scene.
