Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Incident on Kuykendahl Road

A tragic incident unfolded on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, as authorities responded to an auto-pedestrian collision in the 15700 block of Kuykendahl Road, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigations revealed that a male pedestrian, attempting to cross the roadway outside of a designated crosswalk, failed to yield to oncoming vehicular traffic. The pedestrian was subsequently struck by a northbound Nissan. The driver of the Nissan halted the vehicle and cooperated with authorities.

However, the situation took a harrowing turn when a white Chevrolet or GMC pickup truck traveling in the same direction ran over the pedestrian with its right side tires. After a brief pause, the pickup fled the scene.

The pedestrian, critically injured, was rushed to the hospital and despite efforts, succumbed to their injuries on February 28, 2024, at 4:29 A.M.
