Parents Arrested in Connection with Deaths of Twin Infants in Houston
Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the deaths of two infants in Houston.
Angelina Belinda Calderon, 21, and Fernando Vega, 21, are facing charges of two counts each of injury to a child-serious bodily injury.
The twin female infants, aged 1 and 1/2 months old, were found unresponsive at a residence on Linden Creek Way. Despite efforts by paramedics, they were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Autopsy results revealed that the infants suffered blunt force trauma. Further investigation led to the identification of Calderon and Vega, the children’s parents, as the suspects. They were arrested by the HPD Eastside Patrol Division Crime Suppression Team on April 19 without incident.
