One Arrest Made, Another Suspect at Large in December Fatal Shooting in Central Southwest Houston
Charges have been filed against one suspect, with another already in custody, in connection to the fatal shooting of 32-year-old Montre Dijon Birdow at 13234 Adler Drive in the Central Southwest area on December 16, 2023.
The wanted suspect, 19-year-old Aaron Joshua James, faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 177th State District Court. Meanwhile, 25-year-old Ronald Hamilton is currently in custody and charged with murder in the 482nd State District Court.
The incident unfolded on Saturday afternoon, December 16, 2023, when Houston Police officers responded to a shooting call outside a residence on Adler Drive. Houston Fire Department paramedics had transported the victim, later identified as Mr. Birdow, to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition. Mr. Birdow was pronounced deceased on December 17.
Following a thorough investigation, Hamilton was apprehended without incident on January 13 by the New Braunfels Police Department during a routine traffic stop. He was subsequently extradited back to Harris County and is currently held in the Harris County Jail.
