Multi-Agency Effort Leads to Arrest of Robbery Suspect

On March 27th, 2024, a gas station in Rosharon was robbed at gunpoint, prompting a response from the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect fled the scene, but the store clerk fired shots in pursuit. Despite extensive searching, the suspect remained elusive. A BOLO (Be On the Look Out) was issued to surrounding agencies.

Four days later, on March 31st, an Off-Duty Brazoria County Precinct 4 Deputy spotted the suspect’s vehicle in Harris County near SH 288 and Beltway 8. The deputy alerted a Harris County Constable Precinct 7 patrol car, leading to a successful traffic stop on Beltway 8 near S. Post Oak. The driver was found to have eight active warrants for arrest from Brazoria County and was taken into custody. Subsequent interviews led to the suspect admitting to the robbery, resulting in an additional charge of Aggravated Robbery.

The suspect is currently held on a $100,000 bond. Authorities praised the cooperation between agencies, highlighting the importance of multi-agency collaboration.
