Alyson Ottaviani

On Thursday, April 4, 2024, the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics/Interdiction Unit was on duty in the vicinity of SH-146 and FM-1413. Plainclothes LCSO investigators witnessed two vehicles rendezvous at the Fuel Max Convenience store. A female from a tan Mercedes handed a plastic bag to another female in a separate vehicle before driving off in different directions.

Suspecting illicit activity, narcotic investigators contacted the Baytown Police Department Street Crimes Unit. Baytown officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle heading towards Baytown, while LCSO Interdiction Units intercepted the Mercedes on FM-1413/Hwy90 in Dayton, Texas.

Upon inspection, Baytown officers discovered two plastic bags containing a crystal-like substance weighing approximately one and a half ounces, later identified as methamphetamine, in possession of 45-year-old Shannon Nichole Kleespies. Kleespies, a convicted felon, was also found to be carrying a handgun unlawfully. She was subsequently arrested and charged in Harris County with Possession of Controlled Substance PG1 4g under 200g (Felony 1) and Unlawful Possession Firearm by Felon (Felony 3).

Meanwhile, LCSO Interdiction identified 43-year-old Alyson Ottaviani of Dayton, as the operator of the Mercedes. Ottaviani was apprehended and transported to the LCSO Jail. During the booking process, officers discovered Ottaviani concealing a glass pipe commonly used for smoking methamphetamines in her groin area. Ottaviani faces charges of Manufacture/Delivery of Controlled Substance PG1 4g under 200g (Felony 1).
