Motorcyclist Killed in Collision with 18-Wheeler in Galena Park

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 12500 Clinton Drive at approximately 7:25 a.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. The motorcyclist, a 48-year-old male, was riding a black Kawasaki motorcycle at a high rate of speed eastbound when he attempted to pass a white 18-wheeler tractor-trailer on its right side.

As the truck driver made a wide right turn into a business driveway, the motorcycle collided with the truck. Paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the motorcyclist deceased.

The truck driver, a male, was questioned and released. The identity of the deceased is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The investigation is ongoing.
