Montgomery County Grand Jury Indicts Man for Murder of Dr. Talat Jehan Khan

On Thursday, January 18th, 2024, the Montgomery County Grand Jury handed down an indictment against Miles Joseph Fridrich, 24, for the first-degree offense of murder.

The charges stem from the alleged murder of Dr. Talat Jehan Khan on October 28th, 2023, outside her apartment complex. Dr. Khan, a pediatrician and practicing muslim, was stabbed multiple times at an apartment complex in Conroe, Texas

Conroe Police Department officers responded promptly to the incident, leading to the swift arrest of Fridrich within 400 yards of the crime scene. Subsequently, the Conroe Police Department and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office conducted a thorough investigation into the murder. As of the latest update, investigators have found no conclusive evidence pointing to a specific motive for the attack on Dr. Khan.

Miles Joseph Fridrich has been in custody at the Montgomery County Jail since the date of the murder, held on a $500,000 bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for January 29th at 9:00 a.m. in the 9th District Court.

Authorities remain dedicated to pursuing justice in this case and are actively exploring all aspects of the murder to shed light on the circumstances surrounding Dr. Khan’s tragic death.
