Midland Narcotics Raid Leads to Arrest, Cocaine Seizure, and Immigration Detentions

On December 10, 2024, the Midland County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, with the assistance of the Midland County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team and the U.S. Border Patrol, executed a search warrant in the 2700 block of West Washington as part of a narcotics distribution investigation.

During the search, authorities discovered an undisclosed amount of cocaine and U.S. currency. Juan Diego Martinez, 20, was arrested on charges of Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance in a Drug-Free Zone.

Four other individuals—Eduardo Endy Silva-Leyva, Edgar Ivan Hernandez-Villarreal, Victoria Berenice Berumen-Duran, and Jose Fabian Villalobos-Ramirez—were detained by the U.S. Border Patrol for investigation into their immigration status. Martinez was transported to the Midland County Central Detention Center, and the case remains under investigation.

Sheriff David Criner reaffirmed the department’s dedication to combating illegal narcotics in the community, stating their commitment to arresting individuals responsible for distributing dangerous substances.
