Manhunt Underway for Suspect in Fatal Shooting of 12-Year-Old in Houston

Tragedy struck the Cloverleaf area of Houston on March 4, 2024, as a 12-year-old boy lost his life in a shooting incident. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to the distressing scene at an apartment unit located at 13921 Alderson, near Woodforest and Uvalde.

According to reports, a suspect discharged a firearm into the apartment, fatally injuring the young victim identified as Carlos Fernandez. The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Terry Bryan Rivera, fled the premises after the shooting. Rivera, who was reportedly in a prior relationship with the victim’s mother and shares two children with her, is now facing charges of Capital Murder.

Despite efforts by law enforcement, Rivera remains at large. However, investigators have made progress in the case, recovering a grey pickup truck believed to have been used by the suspect during the shooting.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office has issued a warning, advising the public that Rivera should be considered armed and dangerous.
