Man Struck by Tractor-Trailer in Northeast Houston in November Dies

A 59-year-old man, critically injured in a collision with a tractor-trailer truck on November 21, 2024, at 7600 North Wayside Drive, has died.

The victim was walking westbound on the south side of the 7900 block of Ley Road near the intersection with North Wayside Drive when he was struck by the white tractor-trailer truck making a right turn from Ley Road onto North Wayside Drive.

Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the man to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in critical condition. He was later pronounced deceased on December 2, 2024.

The 49-year-old male driver of the truck remained at the scene, showed no signs of intoxication, and was questioned before being released.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
