Man Investigated for Child Porn in Sweetwater Turns Out to be Major Drug Dealer
The Sweetwater Police Department initiated an investigation into the possession of child pornography on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. As part of the investigation, officers obtained search warrants for the suspect’s vehicle and residence.
During the execution of the search warrants, officers seized multiple electronic devices including a hard drive, laptop and cell phones. Subsequent to the search of the residence, a significant amount of illegal drugs, firearms, and currency were also seized, including:
- One laptop
- Four cellphones
- One Hard drive
- Marijuana
- THC Wax
- THC vapes and candies
- THC Edibles
- Mushrooms
- LSD
- Methamphetamine
- Ketamine
- MDMA
- Three firearms (two pistols and one shotgun)
- Significant amount of currency
The approximate value of the drugs seized totals $41,000. Marcus Malcolm Wilson was arrested as a result of the investigation and booked in the Nolan County Jail. Wilson is charged with:
- Possession or Promotion of Child Pornography
- Five counts of Manufacture and Delivery of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 <=4g <200g
- Four counts of Manufacture and Delivery of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2 >=4g <400g
- Manufacture and Delivery of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1A >=80 Abuse Units < 4,000 Abuse Units
- Manufacture and delivery of Controlled Substance Penalty Group ¾ >=28g <200g
- Delivery of Marijuana >¼ oz <= 5lbs
- Possession of Controlled Substance Substance Penalty Group 1 <1g
