Man Captured after Escaping Midland County Jail

The Midland County Sheriff’s Office has reported that Michael James Nash escaped from the Midland County Jail at 7:27 pm on Thursday, December 14, 2023. According to authorities, Nash manipulated a secure door within the facility to facilitate his escape.

Midland Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Nash. Individuals with any information about his whereabouts are urged to contact Midland Crime Stoppers at 694-TIPS or use the mobile app P3 TIPS. A cash reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to Nash’s capture.

UPDATE: At approximately 5:00 p.m. (Friday, December 15th), members of the Midland County Sheriff’s Office assisted by the Texas Department of Public Safety located Michael James Nash in the area of the 1700 block of South Midkiff Rd. Michael Nash was taken into custody and transported to Midland County Central Detention Center.
