Man Busted With Drugs During Traffic Stop in Spring Thanks to K9 Officer
On January 22, 2024, a routine traffic stop by a deputy from Constable Mark Herman’s Office in the 5700 block of West Rayford Road in Spring took an unexpected turn when a K9 unit uncovered narcotics in the vehicle.
The driver, identified as 35-year-old Jacob Szymczyk, found himself in hot water when Constable K9 “Rambo,” under the guidance of Deputy Tom Ramsey, detected the presence of illegal substances. A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded 20 grams of Methamphetamine and 6.2 grams of assorted pills.
Szymczyk was arrested and taken into custody. He has been booked into Harris County Jail, facing charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance. The bond for his release has been set at $3,000 by the 176th District Court.
