Man Arrested in Midland Motorcycle Club Shooting on Loop 250

MIDLAND, Texas — A man has been arrested in connection with the shooting of a motorcyclist tied to rival motorcycle clubs, according to authorities.

The Texas Anti-Gang Center – Permian Basin, along with the Odessa Police Department, arrested Gilbert Roman Corrales on May 2 in connection with an April 25 shooting on Loop 250.

Investigators said Corrales is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly shooting a motorcyclist near the 2500 block of West Loop 250 North. The victim is reported to be a member of the Mongols Motorcycle Club.

Authorities identified Corrales as a member of the Bandidos Motorcycle Club. He was booked into the Ector County Detention Center. His bond was set at $500,000.

The investigation was led by the Midland Police Department with assistance from the Texas Anti-Gang Center – Permian Basin, a multi-agency task force that includes personnel from local, state and federal agencies, including the FBI, DEA and Texas Department of Public Safety.

The case remains under investigation.
