Man Accused of Brutally Assaulting Elderly Hospital Worker in Dallas

A 30-year-old man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly assaulting a 76-year-old hospital sitter inside the emergency room at Baylor Scott & White in Dallas, just hours after being arrested by DART police.

The suspect, William Horoshak, had been taken into custody around 5:00 a.m. on June 26, 2025, in connection to a criminal mischief incident reported at 3422 E. Kiest Blvd. A DART bus operator reported that Horoshak entered her lane, forcing her to take evasive action. He then allegedly struck the bus, shattering a window and mirror. He was arrested and transported to Baylor for a psychiatric evaluation.

Later that evening, around 7:00 p.m., Horoshak allegedly attacked a 76-year-old sitter working in the emergency department. According to an arrest affidavit, he repeatedly punched the victim in the face, knocking her unconscious. She sustained significant injuries including swelling, bruising, and bleeding to the left side of her face.

The victim was wearing hospital scrubs and a badge at the time of the incident. No motive for the alleged attack was detailed in court documents.

Horoshak now faces the following charges:

  • Two counts of Aggravated Assault Causing Serious Bodily Injury
  • Two counts of Assault of Hospital Personnel on Hospital Property
  • Two counts of Injury to an Elderly Person
  • One count of Criminal Mischief (damage between $2,500–$30,000)
