Major Narcotics Bust in Liberty County: Three Arrested, Large Cache of Drugs and Firearms Seized

On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, in collaboration with ATF and the Dayton Police Department, executed a search warrant at 1875 Redwood Lane, Dayton, Liberty County, Texas. The warrant targeted 19-year-old Aaron Jose Guereque, suspected of distributing THC products and possessing automatic handguns.
Guereque was found in a bedroom with a 16-year-old juvenile male, both of whom were detained. The house, sparsely furnished with only a mattress in the primary bedroom, was searched thoroughly. Investigators discovered two semi-automatic Glock handguns, one reported stolen from Baytown, and a Glock “Switch” which converts a semi-automatic handgun into a fully automatic one. They also found a large quantity of THC cartridges, marijuana, mushrooms, edible THC products, and $5,062 in cash hidden in a shoebox.
Based on information from the investigation, both individuals were known to be involved in narcotics sales and were charged accordingly. It was also determined that the juvenile’s older brother, 19-year-old Oziel Misael Martinez from Dayton, was involved in the narcotics trade.
Investigators conducted a probation check at Martinez’s address at 5670 CR602, Dayton, as he was already on probation in Liberty County for narcotics. A search of his bedroom yielded a .22 caliber AR-style rifle, a Draco 7.62 pistol, numerous THC cartridges, marijuana, and $4,071 in cash stored in a Gucci backpack.
With parental consent, investigators searched the juvenile’s bedroom, finding multiple empty THC cartridge boxes on his bed and a large case of THC cartridges underneath.
All seized funds are pending forfeiture through the District Attorney’s office. The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office and other agencies are committed to removing these narcotics and firearms from the community, especially from the hands of the youth.
