Jogger Killed in Fatal Hit-and-Run in West Houston

Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred in the 9200 block of Westpark Drive around 6:50 a.m. on Friday, December 13th.

According to HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer R. Bymaster, a female pedestrian, believed to be in her 30s, was jogging westbound on the right shoulder of Westpark Drive when she was struck by an unknown vehicle. The driver fled the scene without stopping to render aid.

The identity of the deceased woman is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Authorities report that there are currently no known witnesses to the crash.
