Intruder Shot and Killed in Cypress Station Apartment

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office received a call at approximately 5 p.m. from a man who reported discovering an unfamiliar person inside their apartment in the 18200 block of Westfield Place Drive in Cypress Station area.

Upon arriving home with his girlfriend, the resident found the intruder, described as around 35 years old, inside their apartment. The resident then shot the intruder, who was subsequently taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.

Sergeant Jason Brown of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office reported that the preliminary investigation indicates the intruder was armed and inside the apartment when the homeowners returned.

Deputies investigating the scene found no signs of forced entry, suggesting the intruder may have entered through an unlocked front door. The intruder reportedly had multiple warrants out of Harris County. The authorities have stated that no charges are expected to be filed in connection with the incident.
