Mississippi Escapee and Two Fugitives From Louisiana Captured in Port Arthur

In a week marked by fugitive activity, law enforcement successfully apprehended an escapee from Mississippi in Port Arthur. Ryan Young, who had recently fled custody while being transported to a Mississippi prison, was arrested by Port Arthur Police Officers on Monday, December 4, 2023.

Young was tracked to the city and taken into custody without incident at approximately 11:30 a.m. at Icebox in the 6700 block of West Port Arthur Road. Port Arthur Police Chief Tim Duriso confirmed that Young, who lacked ties to Port Arthur, had been catching rides and ended up in the city.

Meanwhile, on December 5, in a separate incident, two fugitives from Lafayette, Louisiana, Eric Lasalle and Alcoby Lasalle, were arrested on the 1300 block of Joe Louis Avenue for outstanding warrants. The charges against them include Kidnapping, Murder, Aggravated Criminal Damage, and Possession of a Firearm. The arrests were made without further incident.
