Houston Police Investigate Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash on South Freeway

Authorities are currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 9800 South Freeway (South Highway 288) around 2:55 a.m. on Thursday, November 23. The victim, a 60-year-old male, was driving a white Nissan Sentra northbound near the specified location when, for reasons yet to be determined, the vehicle veered off the road and collided with a ditch, ultimately overturning.

Emergency services, including the Houston Fire Department paramedics, responded to the scene. Unfortunately, the man was pronounced deceased upon their arrival. The identity of the deceased is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The incident involved no other individuals or vehicles.
