Houston Police Investigate Fatal Shooting in Greater Inwood Area

The Houston Police Department is actively investigating the fatal shooting of a male that occurred at 6307 Tall Willow Drive in the Greater Inwood area around 7:35 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2024.

The identity of the victim is currently pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

According to HPD, patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the specified address and discovered the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite efforts from Houston Fire Department paramedics, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the victim was engaged in an argument with an unknown suspect, leading to the fatal shooting. The motive behind the altercation remains under investigation.
