Houston Man Charged in Tierwester Street Fatal Shooting Case Now in Custody
A suspect wanted for a deadly shooting that occurred on Tierwester Street has been apprehended and charged. Edward Domon Brown, aged 44, is facing charges for murder, illegal possession of a weapon, and possession of a controlled substance. The victim, Horatio Rodriguez Harris, aged 37, tragically lost his life in the incident.
The Houston Police Department’s Homicide Division shared that the incident took place last Thursday, August 17, around 12:40 p.m. Officers arrived at the scene to find Mr. Harris with gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of the Houston Fire Department paramedics, he could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigations revealed that the victim and the suspect, Edward Domon Brown, were acquainted and had recent disagreements. Brown fled the scene immediately after the shooting, leaving the victim behind. The police swiftly began working to identify and locate the suspect.
After gathering evidence and information, law enforcement officers identified Edward Domon Brown as the prime suspect. On August 19, he was formally charged with murder in the 183rd State District Court. Subsequent investigations also led to additional charges being filed against Brown for being in possession of a stolen firearm and a controlled substance.
The breakthrough in the case came on August 22 when officers from the Houston Police Department’s Northeast Patrol Division conducted a routine traffic stop. During the stop, they arrested Edward Domon Brown. It was discovered that he had a stolen firearm and a controlled substance in his possession at the time of his arrest. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted, resulting in the filing of two more felony charges against Brown.
