Homicide Investigation Underway Following Fatal Shooting at Brookside Gardens Apartments

Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide investigators were called to the Brookside Gardens apartments on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, around 9:00 PM.

Constable Precinct 7 deputies responded to reports of a shooting and an injured male. Upon arrival, they found an adult black male near apartment building #6 with a gunshot wound. Despite receiving aid and being transported to the hospital, the victim succumbed to his injuries before reaching the medical facility.

Homicide investigators conducted interviews with witnesses and reviewed security footage, while Crime Scene deputies processed the area and gathered evidence.

The identity of the shooter remains unknown, and the investigation is ongoing. The next of kin has been informed, and evidence is still being examined.
