High-Speed Police Chase Ends in Crash at Northwest Houston KFC Restaurant, Two Teens Arrested

Two individuals, identified as Angel Gabriel Vallejo Castillo, 17, and Gus Albert Villarreal, 17, were arrested by Harris County Constable Precinct 5 deputies following a high-speed police chase that concluded with a crash into a fast-food restaurant in Northwest Houston.

The pursuit initiated on the evening of November 18 in the 4300 block of the West Sam Houston Parkway when a deputy attempted to stop a 2009 Nissan Maxima for displaying an invalid temporary license plate. The suspects, however, refused to comply, prompting an 8-mile chase at high speeds.

The pursuit came to an end when the suspects tried to navigate through a parking lot at West Rd. and the Sam Houston Parkway. Losing control of their vehicle, the Nissan Maxima crashed into a KFC restaurant. Luckily, no injuries were reported as the car entered the establishment through a window before coming to a halt in the dining area.

Both the driver and one passenger fled the scene on foot. The passenger was apprehended nearby with the assistance of a Precinct 4 K9 deputy. The driver, later identified as Vallejo Castillo, was located hiding in a nearby apartment complex.

Vallejo Castillo and Villarreal are facing charges of evading arrest. Additional charges may be pending as authorities conduct tests on drugs discovered inside the suspects’ vehicle.
