Cory Osborne and Brandon Williams

The Harris County Constable Precinct 3 Evening Shift Deputies responded to a report of a stolen Hyundai Elantra at 12355 Tidwell Rd. Upon meeting with the vehicle’s owner, deputies discovered that the stolen vehicle was equipped with a GPS tracker.

Tracking the signal to Mesa and Sterlingshire, deputies located not only the stolen Hyundai Elantra but also another Elantra at the scene. Upon the arrival of patrol cars, four males near the vehicles fled, with two individuals in each car.

A pursuit ensued, leading deputies to intercept the stolen Elantra at 9700 Bianca Ct., while the second Elantra was stopped at 9800 Alcanterra. Occupants of the stolen Elantra, identified as driver Cory Osborne and passenger Brandon Williams, were detained. However, the driver and passenger of the second Elantra managed to escape on foot.

Further investigation revealed that the second Elantra had been involved in a recent carjacking reported by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office just before the deputies’ intervention. Both Brandon Williams and Cory Osborne have been charged and arrested for “felony theft.”

The incident remains under investigation.
