High-Speed Chase Ends in Arrests as Stolen Vehicle Suspects Flee; K9 Bites and Captures Teen Suspect
In an incident on January 30, 2023, deputies from Harris County Constable Mark Herman’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle in the 800 block of Cypresswood Drive, Spring.
The driver, refusing to comply, initiated a high-speed pursuit. The chase concluded when the driver lost control and crashed in the 800 block of FM 1960 Road.
Following the crash, both occupants fled on foot. The passenger, identified as 18-year-old Andri Diaz, was quickly apprehended by deputies.
Constable K9 “Tejas Briones” was then deployed to assist in the apprehension of the driver, identified as 17-year-old Ethan Jackson. Tejas Briones successfully located and captured Jackson.
Jackson sustained injuries from a dog bite during the apprehension and was subsequently transported to a local hospital. After receiving medical attention, he was released. Both individuals were then arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail.
Ethan Jackson faces charges of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Evading Arrest, while Andri Diaz is charged with Evading Arrest.
