Harris County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Public Assistance in Identifying Persons of Interest in North Harris County Murder Case

Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying persons of interest related to a murder in north Harris County. On December 20, 2023, at approximately 7:45 p.m., patrol deputies responded to a major accident in the 14200 block of Lee Road.

Upon arrival, deputies found 30-year-old Gary Houston, the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the accident, had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Houston was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Further investigation revealed that the shooting occurred at the Haverstock Hill’s apartment complex, located at 5619 Aldine Bender, a short distance from the crash site. Surveillance footage obtained by investigators captured several individuals of interest present before the shooting.

The persons of interest include:

  1. A black male wearing a yellow cap and a black jacket with a dragon on the back.
  2. A black male in a gray hoodie, black jacket, and acid-washed jeans.
  3. A black male in a red hoodie with tan-colored pants.
  4. A black male in a camouflage jacket.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unknown at this time.
