Harris County Sheriff’s Office Investigators Identify Persons of Interest in Murder, Need Help From Public

Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying persons of interest in connection with a murder that occurred in north Harris County.

On Wednesday, December 20, 2023, around 7:45 p.m., patrol deputies responded to the 14200 block of Lee Road after receiving reports of a major accident. Upon arrival, deputies found 30-year-old Gary Houston, the driver of one of the vehicles involved, had sustained multiple gunshot wounds before the collision. Houston was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead.

Further investigation revealed that the shooting occurred at the Haverstock Hill’s apartment complex, situated at 5619 Aldine Bender, just a short distance from the accident scene.

Surveillance footage obtained by authorities shows several individuals of interest present before the shooting took place.

The individuals being sought include a black male wearing a yellow cap and black jacket adorned with a dragon on the back, another black male in a gray hoodie, black jacket, and acid-washed jeans, as well as a black male in a red hoodie paired with tan-colored pants. Additionally, a black male wearing a camouflage jacket is also being sought.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown at this time.
