Harris County Deputies Recover Stolen Trucks Out of Florida During Traffic Stop

Harris County Constable Terry Allbritton’s Parks Division deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 8200 block of the Southwest Freeway near Beechnut, leading to the discovery of a stolen vehicle.

During the investigation, deputies determined that all the VIN numbers on the Ram 1500 TRX had been altered. A check revealed that the truck had been reported stolen out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The suspect later admitted to having another truck at a different location. Deputies responded and found that the second Ram 1500 TRX also had altered VIN numbers.

The suspect was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle. Both trucks were seized as part of the ongoing investigation.
