Fort Bend County Opens Applications for 2024 Summer Youth Employment Program

Fort Bend County is currently accepting applications for the 2024 Summer Youth Employment Program (YEP). The application window will remain open until Friday, March 15, 2024.

The YEP initiative by Fort Bend County aims to provide opportunities for youth and young adults between the ages of 16 to 21. The program offers a diverse range of openings across 38 County departments, with 250 positions available for both full-time and part-time roles. Scheduled to run from June 5 to July 31, YEP offers participants the chance to enhance their resumes, develop skills, and create a pathway for a more promising future.

Judge KP George expressed enthusiasm about the program, stating, “I strongly urge our young individuals not to let this golden opportunity slip through their grasp. It is a pivotal moment for our youth and young adults to invest in their future, laying the foundation for success and growth.”

Since its establishment in 2019, YEP has successfully provided meaningful employment opportunities for nearly 1,000 young individuals.

Prospective applicants can submit their applications through the Fort Bend County website at www.fbctx.gov. Once the form is completed, a dedicated member of the Human Resources team will promptly reach out to guide applicants through the next steps in the application process.
