Fatal Crash in Harris County: Driver Found Dead with Possible Gunshot Wounds
According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office units are currently on-scene at the 12000 block of Marsham Circle, near Veterans Memorial. The units responded initially to a possible vehicle crash where a vehicle had struck a residence. However, upon investigation, the driver was found deceased with possible gunshot wounds.
Preliminary information suggests that the driver and occupant(s) of the vehicle may have been involved in a drive-by shooting just before the crash. There is a possibility that the driver was shot by one of the occupants in the car. A male was observed fleeing on foot from the scene.
Investigators are en route to gather more details on the incident. Residents in Northcliffe Manor/MUD 150 are urged to assist by providing any information they may have. They can call the Harris County Sheriff’s Office at 713-221-6000 or contact Crime Stoppers of Houston.
Additionally, residents are encouraged to check their surveillance cameras for any footage related to the incident. The persons involved in the crash were in a black 4-door Hyundai Sonata. The initial call for service was received around 6:29 am, but there are reports of possible gunshots being heard just before that time. Residents are asked to review their surveillance footage for any signs of a male fleeing from the vehicle.
