Fort Bend Authorities Searching for Suspect in Richmond Homicide

On October 14, 2024, at approximately 8:41 a.m., Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office (FBCSO) deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 5400 block of FM 762 Rd. in Richmond, Texas. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the body of 23-year-old Anyi Montealegre Izquierdo inside the home. The case is being investigated as a domestic violence-related homicide.

The suspect, identified as 24-year-old Jhon Vanegas Romero, had been living with the victim at the residence. FBCSO received a tip later that evening about Romero’s possible location. SWAT teams searched the area of the 2200 block of Richmond Street in Needville, Texas, but the suspect has not yet been found.

Authorities urge anyone with information on Romero’s whereabouts to contact Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at (281) 342-TIPS (8477). He is considered dangerous, and the public is advised not to approach him.
