Fight at Glen Cove Apartments Claims One Life and Leaves Another Seriously Injured in Shooting Incident

At approximately 10:30 am today (Janurary 21), Harris County Deputies responded to an in-progress call at the Glen Cove Apartments, located at 22720 Imperial Valley near FM-1960.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered that a shooting had occurred, resulting in one fatality and another person in serious condition.

The incident involved two individuals, a male and a female, who arrived at the apartment complex earlier in the morning. Upon their arrival, they attempted to gain entry into an apartment by either banging, kicking, or some other means. A man inside the apartment answered the door, leading to an altercation between the two males.

During the altercation, a woman inside the apartment allegedly produced a pistol and shot both the male and female intruders. The female intruder was transported to the hospital and pronounced deceased, while the male intruder, who had been shot and stabbed, was taken to a hospital in serious condition.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office reported that the woman inside the apartment is cooperating with the investigation. Inside the apartment, three additional individuals were present—a male with minor injuries and two children aged 8 and 10, who were unharmed.

The motive for the incident is currently unknown, and the identities of the deceased woman and the injured man have not been released at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
