Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash in West Houston Under Investigation; Passenger Ejected From Vehicle

Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 7700 Harwin Drive around 1:35 a.m. on Sunday, January 21.

The identity of the deceased female, aged 25, is awaiting verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

According to reports, a red Toyota Camry was traveling westbound near the specified address when, under unknown circumstances, the vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree. The female passenger, identified as the victim, was ejected from the vehicle. The male driver, aged 28, did not provide aid and fled the scene on foot.

Houston Fire Department paramedics rushed the victim to Ben Taub General Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

The crash involved only the red Toyota Camry, with no other vehicles implicated.
