Fatal Shooting at Houston Birthday Party Leaves One Dead, Juvenile Injured

Houston Police is investigating a fatal shooting and the injury of a juvenile female at a residence on Juliabora Street in the Meadowbrook/Allendale area. The incident occurred around 1:20 a.m. on Sunday, December 17.

The victim, a 67-year-old man, was found unresponsive in the living room with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts by Houston Fire Department paramedics, he was pronounced deceased at the scene. The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

A female juvenile, who suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg, was transported to an area hospital by paramedics. She was treated and later released.

Preliminary investigations revealed that a large group of people were attending a birthday party at the residence. A physical altercation broke out among some attendees, escalating into a shooting that resulted in the shooting of the two victims.
