Teen Arrested in Fatal Houston Crash: Charged with Intoxication Manslaughter

On Friday night, a fatal crash occurred at 7700 Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10) service road around 11:25 p.m.
The incident involved a black Mercedes GLK350 traveling eastbound on I-10. The vehicle attempted to make a northbound turn onto Silber Road at an unsafe speed, leading to a series of events.
The Mercedes failed to stay in a single lane, colliding with a curb and a pedestrian who was sleeping on the median. Subsequently, the vehicle struck a wall. Despite the severity of the crash, the driver attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended by witnesses.
Emergency services, including the Houston Fire Department paramedics, responded to the scene and pronounced the woman deceased. The identity of the deceased woman is currently awaiting verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
17-year-old Hunter Cameron Villasana has been arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter in connection with the incident.
