Fatal Motorcycle Crash Under Investigation on Almeda Road

Houston police are currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 13400 Almeda Road in Central Southwest Houston around 8:35 p.m. on Saturday, January 6.

A 32-year-old male, yet to be officially identified by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, was riding a gray Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle southbound on Almeda Road when he collided with a red Chevrolet Avalanche pickup truck. The pickup truck was exiting a business at the mentioned address. The Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male motorcyclist dead at the scene.

The 73-year-old male driver of the pickup truck was unharmed and cooperated with authorities. He was found not to be impaired, questioned, and subsequently released.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
