Pedestrian Dies in Hit-and-Run Crash on Gessner Road
Houston police have confirmed the death of a 70-year-old man involved in a hit-and-run incident at 2700 Gessner Road on December 23, 2023, around 6:55 p.m.
The man, identified as a pedestrian, was crossing the street outside a designated crosswalk when he was struck by a grey or silver sedan, potentially a Nissan Altima. The driver failed to stop and provide assistance, leaving the scene of the crash. Emergency medical services promptly transported the injured man to Memorial Hermann – Texas Medical Examiner in critical condition.
The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences is pending verification of the man’s identity, and investigators received notification of his demise on Friday, January 5, after doctors pronounced him deceased.
