Fatal Crash Investigation Underway on Westheimer Road in Houston

A fatal crash occurred at 6100 Westheimer Road in Mid West Houston around 10:45 p.m. on Sunday (March 10), according to the Houston Police Department.

The victim, a 60-year-old male pedestrian, was crossing the street at the mentioned address when he was hit by a white Jeep Cherokee traveling westbound. Houston Fire Department Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

The identity of the deceased is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The driver of the Jeep Cherokee, a 27-year-old male, was questioned and subsequently released. As of now, no charges have been filed, and the investigation is ongoing.
