Fatal Crash Engulfs Car in Flames, Houston Police Investigate

Houston Police Department is currently investigating a tragic incident that occurred on Sunday, March 10th, around 9 p.m. at 6400 Telephone Road in the Golfcrest/Bellfort/Reveille area.

The victim, a 62-year-old male, was driving a black Ford Fusion eastbound on Santa Fe Drive. He attempted to make a right turn onto Telephone Road by passing through a parking lot. However, he lost control of the vehicle during the maneuver, ultimately colliding with a pole located in the median. The impact resulted in the vehicle catching fire.

Emergency responders from the Houston Fire Department rushed to the scene and transported the victim to a nearby hospital. Sadly, he was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.

As of now, the identity of the deceased male is awaiting confirmation by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. Fortunately, no other individuals or vehicles were involved in the incident.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing.
