Ex-Boyfriend Arrested for Breaking Into Apartment and Assaulting Woman in Summerwood Area

Late last night, Night Shift Dispatch received a 911 call from the 12700 block of Woodson Park Dr, reporting a break-in and assault in progress. The caller informed dispatch that a male had forcibly entered an apartment and was assaulting a woman inside.

Deputies responded to the scene, entering the residence to find the male suspect, identified as David Gary, inside a bedroom. Gary was promptly detained. The victim, who identified Gary as her ex-boyfriend, recounted that he arrived uninvited, knocking loudly at her front door and bedroom window.

According to the victim, Gary forcibly opened the bedroom window, entered, and locked the door, preventing her escape. The assailant proceeded to assault her.

Deputies reached out to the Harris County DA’s Office, resulting in David Gary being charged and arrested for “burglary of a habitation with intent to commit assault.”
