El Paso Man Arrested for Posing as Cosmetic Surgeon and Sexually Assaulting Victims
In El Paso, a 43-year-old man, Tito Villarreal, was arrested for posing as a cosmetic surgeon and falsely informing women that they had won a raffle for free surgery.
Villarreal utilized a Facebook page under his name to communicate with the victims, employing spoofing technology to make it seem like he was calling from a legitimate medical facility. Two adult women were convinced by Villarreal to attend a massage session at a West El Paso hotel under the pretense of being provided by a licensed therapist.
Crimes Against Persons Detectives conducted an investigation that led to probable cause for charging Villarreal with Sexual Assault. He was initially arrested on Monday for outstanding traffic warrants and was rebooked the following day with the Sexual Assault charge.
Judge Moody set a $150,000 bond for Villarreal. Investigators suspect that Villarreal may have contacted other women and encourage anyone with information to contact them at (915)212-4040 or (915)832-4400.
Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation and to safeguard the privacy of the victims of sexual assault, specific details of the crime are not being disclosed at this time.
