Domestic Dispute Escalates Into Stabbing, Houston Woman Charged with Aggravated Assault

In the early hours of Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at approximately 12:10 a.m., Houston Police Officers responded to a distress call at 412 North Sam Houston Parkway East.

Upon arrival, they discovered a 38-year-old victim suffering from multiple lacerations resulting from a stabbing incident. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the injured victim to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The identified suspect in the case is 22-year-old Alize Velosa. Through initial investigations, it was revealed that the victim and the suspect share a domestic relationship and were engaged in a verbal altercation that escalated into a stabbing. Following the incident, the suspect fled the scene.

Upon consultation with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, Velosa has been charged with aggravated assault of a family member.
