Dickinson Man Arrested for Online Solicitation of Minor in Texas City Undercover Operation

During the Internet Crimes Against Children Investigation (ICAC) undercover chat operation conducted by the Houston Metro ICAC Task Force between March 26 and March 28th of 2024, several arrest warrants were filed.

Marvin Jones, 44 years old, out of Dickinson, Texas, was identified as a suspect in this operation, and an arrest warrant was filed for Jones for the offense of Online Solicitation of a Minor Under 14 with a bond amount of $100,000. Jones was further found to be a registered sex offender, and was arrested on Wednesday April 17, 2024, for the outstanding warrant for his arrest.

The Texas City Police Department is continuing to dedicate time and resources to bringing offenders to justice and will continue to keep the public informed on the investigations as more offenders are identified and arrested.
