Crash at North Austin Medical Center Leaves One Dead, Several Injured


A crash occurred on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, around 5:35 p.m., at the North Austin Medical Center, situated at 12221 North Mopac. Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to the incident involving a sedan driven by 57-year-old Michell Holloway, which crashed into the emergency room waiting area.

As a result of the collision, three adults and two juveniles in the waiting room sustained injuries and were transported to different hospitals for treatment. While some injuries were severe, they were deemed non-life-threatening.

Holloway, the driver, was pronounced deceased at the North Austin Medical Center. The investigation into the crash is currently in its preliminary stages. While no evidence suggests intentional wrongdoing or a medical episode involving the driver at this time, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
